DOMINICAN LAITY IN TRINIDAD & TOBAGO
The history of the Dominican Laity in Trinidad and Tobago goes back to 1871 the zealous Fr. Forestier. He established the first fraternity with a group of very devoted ladies who helped him care for the little orphans he had gathered together in a house in Belmont, Port of Spain, Trinidad. In 1993 a national Promoter was appointed and within a few years the original three Chapters, which were at first amalgamated, grew to ten. The present fraternities are as follows:
ARIMA This fraternity meets on the second and third Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. of each month in the Dominican Sisters Convent at 7.30 p.m..

CARENAGE This fraternity meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month in the parish Church of St. Peter at 6.00 p.m.

CHAGUANAS This fraternity meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month in the parish Church of Sts. Philip & James 6.30 p.m.

DIEGO MARTIN, ST. FINBAR’S This fraternity meets on the third Monday of each month in the parish Church of St. Finbar’s, Four Roads, Diego Martin, at 6.00 p.m.
